Physical Therapy for Orthopedic Dysfunctions

Injuries to the musculoskeletal system can be painful and debilitating whether involving joints, bones, tendons, ligaments, bursa, cartilage, connective tissue, or musculature and any combination of these tissues.  Restoring range of motion, strength, and stability while reducing pain and swelling requires the skill and training available from therapists at LifeStrides.  We treat patients with neck, back, shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, ankle, and foot injuries/disorders/surgeries and those with combinations (often problems with one joint can affect another as we tend to compensate and shift stress away from an injured part.  From strains, sprains, one of the “itis” family (“Arthr- Busra-, or Tendon-itis”), fractures, torn cartilage, tendon ruptures, ligament tears, and symptoms from disc and facet pathology our well trained staff will work with you to restore your mobility and ability to return to full function.

Rehabilitation programs include pre and post-operative orthopedic surgery recovery, rehabilitation from acute and chronic injuries, sports injury rehabilitation, and workplace injury rehabilitation.

Sessions typically last from 45-60 minutes depending on patient tolerance with periodic rest breaks as needed early in the program.  The typical program involves 3 visits per week to gain a positive training effect.  Our program begins with a thorough physical therapy evaluation and communication with your physician regarding your initial status and continues with regular assessments of progress provided to your physician as well.

We are committed to help those struggling to regain their functional mobility, independence, and joy in taking positive “Strides” in life.
