He has been practicing physical therapy since 1999, 22 of those years in Ithaca, NY, and locally the past year treating a variety of upper extremity and general orthopedic injuries and conditions. Jeff was an instructor in the Cayuga Medical Center physical therapy orthopedic residency, teaching the elbow, wrist, and hand course. In addition he has given community lectures on hand rehab from common injuries to golf rehabilitation. Jeff has provided multiple worksite ergonomic evaluations in the Ithaca, NY community.

Monte Wright MS, MSPT, CFE
A resident of Oconee County for 25 years Monte Wright has been the owner and an active director of LifeStrides Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in West Union since 2006. He served the community as Assistant Director of Rehabilitation at Oconee Memorial Hospital before opening his own clinic. Monte opened LifeStrides with the mindset to provide a professional and personal approach, to meld the science and art of physical therapy, to bring leading-edge treatment with the wisdom of experience, and to approach each challenge as a ministry to serve.
Monte received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama-Birmingham in 1996 and also has a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Tennessee. He has been honored as presenting author of the research at national conventions of the American Physical Therapy Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. With this research emphasis background, evidence-based treatment is a foundation principle recognizing each patient is an individual with a unique history and response to treatment.
When you don’t find Monte at his clinic he is most likely singing or teaching at Church, dabbling in theater, or on an infrequent occasion on the golf course. He also enjoys hiking and white water rafting when the opportunity presents itself with several trips rafting and hiking in West Virginia, Tennessee, Colorado, and Idaho.
Monte and his staff continue to treat a wide variety of physical limitations and injuries including special programs for cancer-related fatigue (his past experience working in cardiac rehabilitation as an Exercise Physiologist helped with developing a gradual progressive monitored program), vertigo, spine, and joint injuries, sports injuries, neurological challenges, and worker’s compensation.
The team at LifeStrides strives to provide exceptional care in a welcoming environment where fellow patients encourage one another and even have a little fun as they recover.
At LifeStrides we get you moving forward, moving better…
